Back to The Signal
The Signal · Newsletter Engine
One message, published everywhere.
The Signal is the monthly newsletter Biozenic used to run, brought back to life. Each issue gets written once on the content calendar, then the engine sends it everywhere: an email to a rebuilt, segmented list of clients and community, a permanent post on the public news archive that feeds search, ready-to-post social for the team, and a printed page left beside the premium lobby installs. It relaunches in September, anchored to the same IIDA moment the calendar is built around.
Written once, sent everywhere. The install ends. The relationship keeps growing.
The three prongs
One issue, three placements. Each one does a different job, and together they cover the inbox, the web, social, and the physical space. Who each send goes to comes from the Client Segment Spine.
Email Dispatch
Monthly · segmented list
The monthly she used to run, revived. One note to a rebuilt list, segmented by the spine into clients and community, branded on Biozenic's own template. It assembles itself, waits for a one-tap approval, then sends on our own mail engine with one-click unsubscribe built in.
Website + Social
Public archive + social
The same story publishes to a permanent news page on the site, so every issue becomes a page Google can find. The engine also pre-writes the LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook posts as drafts for the team, cut for the B2B buyers where the contracts get decided.
The Field Journal
Beside premium installs
The printed piece left in the lobby, generated from the same issue. A QR code carries the reader to the live 3D specimen at true scale. The crew drops it through the month or the posting week, Kelly's call. A print to digital bridge no rival in plantscaping offers.
How it runs
The month's theme and story get built once on the Content Calendar. That single write becomes every channel below. Nothing gets typed twice, and what we planned is exactly what goes out.
The calendar is the source. Kelly and the team see the theme and narrative before it ships. We draft it in her voice, she approves, then the engine sends the same story to every channel.
AutomatedEmail to clients
Assembles itself, waits for a one-tap approval, then sends to the segmented list on our own mail engine with one-click unsubscribe built in.
AutomatedWebsite news page
The same issue publishes to the public archive the moment the email fires. Every send becomes a permanent page that feeds Google.
Team postsSocial
The engine pre-writes the LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook posts as ready-to-post drafts on the calendar. Jana posts finished copy, never a blank page.
Field dropField Journal
The printed piece for premium lobbies, generated from the same issue. The crew drops it through the month or the posting week, Kelly's call.
The first issue · September
Written once, ready for all three channels. It previews the IIDA showcase, lays out the Biofilia thesis, and opens the Q4 gifting season. This is the Sept 14 send the calendar already holds.

Lead · This month
We are building the room at IIDA Design Connect
On September 15, Biozenic creates the visuals the room walks through. Vendors bring their themes, and we bring them to life in living moss and green. Here is a first look at what we are growing for the floor, and how to find us there.
The thesis
Biofilia is retention, not decoration
The research keeps landing on the same point. Living spaces hold people longer, calm them faster, and make a building feel cared for. This is what that looks like in a real office, and why the smartest facilities teams are budgeting for it.
Season ahead
Q4 gifting opens
Corporate client gifts that are not a fruit basket. Tiered living arrangements, plus moss and silk that ship nationally, ready to land before the holidays. Reserve early and we handle the rest.

The cadence
Monthly to start, one issue feeding every channel, growing into a weekly rhythm as the content bank fills.
1Write it once
One issue a month, drawn from the same events and stories the content calendar is already tracking. No separate content to invent.
2Send it everywhere
Email to the list, a permanent post on the news archive, social drafts for the team, and the printed Field Journal for premium lobbies. One write, full coverage.
3It compounds
The blog version feeds search every month, the email keeps clients warm, and the Specimen viewer pulls readers back to the shop.
Sent from Biozenic's own domain, on our own mail engine. The list is owned by Biozenic and fully exportable, never trapped in a platform, sent from news.biozenic.com with one-click unsubscribe on every issue to stay in the inbox. Same ownership principle as the domain and the socials.
To revive the monthly, we need from the team
- The sending address Kelly wants the Signal to come from and reply to
- DNS access on biozenic.com to make that address trusted to send (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX untouched)
- Which platform the old newsletter ran on, plus the login to export it
- The old subscriber list, exported and cleared for consent (tracked in the Access Map)
- A past issue or two, to match her voice and rebuild her template
- Confirm monthly cadence and how to split clients from community
- Blog access on biozenic.com for the web version
- The gift catalog and prices for the Q4 section
- How Kelly wants the printed Field Journal dropped, through the month or the same posting week
